It turns out fantastically well. Geppetto, the carpenter, starts talking to him and, surprisingly, he responds. Geppetto was childless, so he names him as "Pinocchio" and referred to him as his son. He taught him all he needs to know, including farming and book reading, so that he can study, but he was so naughty that he didn't seem to care. When the show's owner notices that he comes from a poor family and that his father/creator is worried about him, he plans to free him by handing him some golden coins. On his way home, he is approached by two thieves who dupe him and steal his coin. When he sets out on his journey the next morning, he is kidnapped by those thieves once more, but a white creature saves him and transports him to a fairy castle where he is served food and other amenities. Later, when Pinnocchio is in danger, the white fairy saves him again from from the belly of a giant fish, to the Land of Toys and the Field of Miracles. It sticks to the original fairy tale much better than the animated one ever did, it's visually stunning, the score is beautiful and the cast is fantastic.Credits: Images and footage Source: Giant InteractiveDirector: Matteo GarroneProducer: Jeremy ThomasBased on: The Adventures of Pinocchio by Carlo CollodiEdited By: Marco SpoletiniDisclaimer: Any footage(s) in this video has only been used to communicate a message (understandable) to the audience.
